Glaxo Smith Kline B12 / A106 Waxetil AHU Repair

Before repairs

B12 AHU was in a bad condition and threatened production due to its poor condition. A repair and refurbishment was planned by MT Mechelec, a site survey was carried out and all materials sourced.

Repair Work

Great support from GSK maintenance team, raising permits daily, we stopped the job due to an asbestos type material being found within the insulation, this was duly tested and confirmed to be non asbestos.

After repair

Full overhaul of corroded struts and panels, replacement of damaged bellow, louvres replaced, primary/secondary filters replaced, electric motor overhaul and re-paint.
